Contains a pure food grade phosphate that dissolves in water at a slow, controlled rate. The phosphate is highly effective at controlling rust and corrosion by forming a protective coating on the inside surface of piping and water heaters. Also, a small amount of soluble iron in a water supply may be treated, minimizing red water and iron staining.
